Boat Stereo Remotes

I almost cut a hole in the transom of our Shockwave to add a transom remote.  I'm glad I didn't.  We optioned one on the new boat and I have been using my watch most of the time to control the boat stereo.  Most of us now use our phones for music while boating, a watch is the perfect remote for controlling it.  For the past couple gens, the Apple watch has been water proof so control of the stereo is always where you need it.  The crown turns the volume up and down quickly, and pause/play FF and Rev are accessible as soon as you twist your wrist.  The only thing to worry about is the watch tan-line on your wrist.  As long as your phone connects to the stereo, you can control the music.  I used mine for the first time after we ordered the boat, had I known I would have ordered it without the transom remote.  I don't know if this works as well with non apple phones/watches but I would assume it does.  I wish I would have tried this sooner.
