Havasu Riviera
Quote from rvrrun on March 11, 2020, 11:33 pmI got an email a couple days ago from Desert Land Group and The Riviera sales team about three invite only showings of the development. If anyone wants to register, or tag along, I can post the link for registration. The dates are March 21, March 28 and April 8.
I am registering for March 21.

Quote from rvrrun on March 13, 2020, 2:16 pmThat’s the one. We got on the list because they were adding docks and slips, we just got ours in the marina so I’m just going to look around.
Should I put the Nylox in the slip or buy a pontoon and stick it in there? After just getting the new boat, the last thing I want to do is buy a pontoon but this crazy market has me thinking about it again.

Quote from rvrrun on March 14, 2020, 4:28 pmYou give me the money, and I’ll buy one.
I don’t have a problem letting the Nylox rot in the sun for the small amount I have invested in it, but part of putting a boat in the slip is so it’s easy for everyone to use. The Nylox is pre-mix and pull start only, so that’s not up there on the easy scale.
I looked at putting a new four stroke on it, but that’s $7-10k. For that much why not spend a bit more and get a pontoon.

Quote from milkmoney on March 14, 2020, 7:01 pmYa , I am not pull starting my free boat ride lol , if I had ur money I would give u the money . Although I seen done decent used pontoons around at a fair price.....
I could afford 1/2 a pontoon ...I just want rear loungers so I can park in the channel and laugh at the people going by , while relaxing
Get on it Mike.

Quote from rvrrun on March 14, 2020, 11:09 pmI checked Craigslist a few weeks ago and toons in the low $20’s were shitpiles. A new 22 sun country isn’t much more and comes with a warranty. I’ll keep checking now that the sky is falling, prices may drop.
The best thing about toons is the shade and all of the rear facing lounges. The Tremor was crap for the channel, the closest you could get to rear facing was sitting sideways on the rear bench. The new boat doesn’t have a bad seat for the channel.
I’m working on something for shade on the Nautique, when I get more of it done I’ll post another tech article on it.
...and check out a site called “your new boat” they are in TN and have lots of houseboat listings and something they call cottages which is like a double wide that floats. Google it on YouTube, it might be cool to have a floating house with a perimeter dock to side tie your boat.

Quote from rvrrun on March 16, 2020, 8:58 pmHavasu Riviera just sent an email canceling the dates I mentioned in the first post. They said in lieu of the event, they will be sending videos and a virtual tour of the development with lot pricing. As soon as I get that info, I’ll figure out a way to post it.
Since we are a bargain budget forum, we don’t have the luxury of video viewable in the posts directly. I’ll see if there is a way of doing that and if not will create a blog post on the main site with the video and info.
